Youth of Promise is a nonprofit organization founded in 2018, by Kymmollotkis Mason of Fredericksburg, VA. This program was created from her heart and passion to help the millions of high-risk Youths in our community.
She saw a need for a mentoring program in our area. Our youth need trusted adults they can turn to in times of depression, hopelessness, fear, daily decision making etc. With that in mind, Youth of Promise was founded.
She was determined and dedicated to reach the Youth in our community and to have influence in their lives. Therefore, she has connected with and formed strong relationships with several community members, parents, businesses, school districts, churches, and other youth organizations throughout the community.
Youth of Promise is a nonprofit IRS 501 (c) (3) corporation.
Youth of Promise has a mission to provide trained mentors for youth struggling in our community. We meet each youth where they are and provide guidance in areas they need most. We empower each mentee to make the best choices for their life by building confidence, and life skills that would sustain each youth for a lifetime. We love our youth, and our mission is to let them know they are not alone, and they are worth fighting for.
Youth of Promise sees the youth in our community making better choices for themselves and the environment around them. We see the community coming together to support, teach and mentor the youth in our community and surrounding areas. We desire to empower each mentee to make the best choices for their life.
We are a faith-based youth mentoring organization focused on helping our higher risk youth to experience healthy one on one relationships and support within the community. We want our youth to grow into there fullest potential and make sure they make, responsible, and informed decisions.
There are millions of youth that are in need of a "big friend". We are always looking for volunteers who are honest, empathetic, willing to encourage our youth, and also willing to be an inspiration.
